Gibraltar is the nearest airport – 1.15 hrs. (Monarch, BA, Easyjet).

Car hire is a necessity when exploring this beautiful area of Spain.

Location
About the finca
Finca del Rio is a typical Andalucian Farmhouse which has been reformed into two homes alongside each other. The original vineyard, called La Vina de la Iglesia, has been replanted with Tempranillo and Syrah vines.
The Finca & Casita have hardwood double-glazed windows with fly-screens and typical Spanish ironwork. They both have gas central heating and traditional Hergom wood-burning stoves have been installed for cozy winter evenings, with a plentiful supply of wood.
Casita
2 double bedrooms with ample wardrobe and drawer space. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans for hot summer nights and duck-down duvets for cosy winter nights. Hairdryers and make-up mirrors are supplied.
The bathroom has a Grohe shower and twin basins set in a marble top with a full size mirror above, automatic extractor fan, heated chrome towel rail (in the winter) and slow-close lid on a Roca toilet
The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances such as Dualit toaster & kettle, microwave, Brabantia bin and Bosch dishwasher, in a rustic old-style setting. It has a combined gas/electric hob and under counter oven plus a full size AEG fridge/freezer.
The chestnut beamed lounge is attractively decorated with a comfortable sofa & 2 cane chairs, Casablanca ceiling fan and relaxed lighting.
Tables and chairs are plentiful on the terraces and there is a good supply of sun loungers around the pool.
Paintings by local artists with local views are on the walls and lessons can be arranged on request.
The Casita has a flat screen TV with local and UK channels. A DVD player is supplied with plenty of DVDs to choose from. We also have a vast supply of books which can be borrowed during your stay.
We have a wi-fi connection which extends over the terraces.
A central utility room has a washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, large sink and extra drying lines. We also have a rotary line and pegs.
All bath and pool towels are provided.
Swimming pool
The pool is heated by the sun and is available to use from March but is quite cool until May. We put the winter cover on the pool from November to March. The free-form pool is approx 10 x 4.2m with steps and a ladder. The deep end is over 2m and the shallow end 1m and it is surrounded by terraces and a low wall with steps down from the Casita.
There is a bar at one end of the pool with a small fridge for drinks.
